About Sewist Studio
Sewist Studio is a digital sewing room. It keeps everything in your studio in one searchable place, so you can see what you own before you buy more, plan projects from the fabric already on your shelves, and preview a make before you cut.
Why it exists
Knitters and crocheters have had Ravelry for years: one place for patterns, yarn and projects. Sewists have mostly had spreadsheets, photo albums, sticky notes and memory. That is how you end up buying a pattern you already own, or running out of fabric halfway through a bodice.
Sewist Studio is the sewing version of that hub. You catalog patterns, fabric, threads, notions, machines and embroidery designs (with your phone camera doing most of the typing), then use that catalog to plan projects on a kanban board. The AI tools work from your real stash, not a store catalog, so their suggestions fit what you can actually make today.
Who builds it
Sewist Studio is built and run by Sabrina Dowling as an independent, self-funded product. She also writes the sewing guides and the smocking & stitching encyclopedia on this site. Questions, bug reports and feature ideas go straight to her through the contact form.
